The Republic of Pemberley
-
This fan site has everything one could imagine about Jane Austen. There are genealogy charts for characters, maps, biographies, critical pieces, information about movies, jokes, links to academic articles, letters, etc. There is a short table of contents and a long table of contents on this page. There are also some links at the bottom of the page and keyword search box about halfway down the page. The page is not arranged in any particular order (but the information is great), so browsing and keyword searching are probably the best ways to find information.

Jane Austen Society of North America

The Society website has information on Austen, along with some nice maps of novel locations. The Society's peer-reviewed online and print publications are also accessible through the website (for more information, please see the "Periodical Articles" of this information guide) There's also a section about the movies and Society membership and meetings.

Jane Austen Society of the UK
-
This site is similar to that of the North American society. The UK Society's site has pictures of period costumes, a brief biography (including photographs), timeline, and synopses of the novels.

Jane Austen.org
-
This is a great general site about Austen. Pages include a biography (including a list of family members), life timeline, online text of the novels with a character list, a long page of quotes, a timeline of the movies, photos, glossary, and rank and class guide. The site as not as extensive as Pemberley, but it's easier to navigate.
